QA Operations Associate
We’d like you to join our team in Kapolei Hawaii as a local employee testing our software components running in a cloud environment. Olivine relies heavily on Windows, .NET, and Azure. Ideal candidates are experienced testers who keep up to date on the latest practices and love to learn. Experience testing scalable web solutions is important. Knowing the difference between a kilowatt and a kilowatt-hour is a plus! We are seeking only Hawaii, USA based candidates at this time.

What you bring
- Minimum of 3 years in software Quality Assurance.
- Knowledge of web applications, databases, and web APIs.
- Strong test design and debugging skills.
- Excellent writing, interpersonal, problem solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively internally and externally to the company.
- Initial operations require coverage 7 days per week until 7 p.m. HST from April – October. Team coverage will require some weekends each month.
Bonus experience
- SQL knowledge and experience testing APIs with tools like Postman
- Automated testing with tools like Selenium
- Knowledge of the distributed energy resource domain, including technologies and applications such as solar PV, battery storage, electric vehicle smart charging and grid integration, demand response strategies, or similar
- Experience in the electric energy industry
What you will do
Test Planning & Design
- Analyze product requirements, bugs, and technical specifications to create comprehensive test plans.
- Design detailed test cases covering functional, usability, compatibility, and regression testing scenarios.
- Develop and maintain test documentation including test scripts, procedures, and checklists.
- Identify test data requirements and prepare appropriate datasets for testing scenarios.
Test Execution & Quality Control
- Execute manual test cases.
- Work with software engineers to develop automated test cases.
- Perform exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and usability issues.
- Execute regression testing to ensure new changes don't break existing functionality
- Validate user interface elements, workflows, and business logic.
- Document, track, and manage defects using bug tracking systems.
- Provide clear, reproducible steps and detailed information for identified issues.
- Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve defects.
- Verify bug fixes and perform retesting as needed.
- Generate comprehensive test reports and quality metrics.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with program managers, developers, and business stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
- Participate in requirements review meetings and provide testing perspectives.
- Communicate testing progress, risks, and quality concerns to stakeholders.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 depending upon experience
